Introduction

Founded in 1985 by Gene and Marsha Lessar, Lessar Painting began by serving high-end custom homes throughout the region.

Over the years, we expanded into the commercial market, partnering with leading contractors including Saunders Construction, Weitz, Adolfson & Peterson, Fransen Pittman, Howell, GH Phipps, and JHL.

Portfolio

Our portfolio includes major projects such as Vail Hospital, the Colorado School of Mines' five-story classroom building and parking garage, Mount Calvary Senior Housing in Boulder, the eight-story Western States building, and the complete Fraser Valley school campus (elementary, middle, and high school facilities).

We maintain ongoing relationships with Saint Joseph and Platte Valley Medical Centers, working with Saunders and GH Phipps to handle specialized repainting of operating rooms, pharmacies, and catheterization labs—projects that require precision and attention to healthcare facility standards.

About the Founders

Gene and Marsha Lessar started Lessar Painting in 1985, building the company from the ground up with a commitment to quality and reliable service.

Beyond their dedication to the painting industry, Gene and Marsha shared a passion for classic American muscle cars, each owning their own Shelby Mustangs.

Troy Lessar grew up in the family business and eventually took the reins as owner, continuing his parents' legacy of excellence.

Troy is married to his high school sweetheart, Heather, and together they have two sons, Logan and Colby.

The Lessar family's passion extends beyond painting to the world of Motocross racing, where they've competed for years. This love of Motocross has become central to their family life and continues to be a driving force that brings them together.

Troy's leadership combines the foundational values his parents established with his own commitment to expanding the company's reach while maintaining the personal touch that has defined Lessar Painting for nearly four decades.
